Sunday Summer Slam Modified Race 4 General Info. – Sunday, September 17th…

Big-Block/Small-Block Modifieds - 30 Laps

 31 green-flag laps (cautions do not count) plus lap money!

 $2,500 to win - $1,000 for 2nd… min. $150 to start. Prior to Gamblers Program

 $20 Gamblers Program will be split between top finisher and randomly drawn driver. (Not Mandatory)

 Draw for heat-race starting spots – heats will have 8 or less cars so teams can race to the front…

 Redraw of top heat finishers for the feature (will be posted on race day)

 Heats & Consolations - tba

 Gasoline or methanol permitted

Sail Panels PERMITTED weekly - conventional body rules based on 2004 DIRT standard.  Two sail panels permitted - 68 inches maximum height from the ground. Must be even from side to side.

 American Racer 33 or harder compounds on front…left rear 44 or harder/right rear 48 or harder –

13- by 92-inch MODIFIED Tire - NO LATE MODEL OR SPECIALTY TIRES!

 Standard chassis, body and safety specs per 2004 DIRTcar rules

Big-blocks (over 361 c.i.): 2,500 lbs. Small-blocks (max. 361 c.i.): 2,400 lbs.

NO wheel covers may be held on by dzeus buttons or similar type fasteners. Only wheel covers that are bolted to the beadlock directly or are part of the beadlock will be permitted. No plastic wheel covers will be permitted. Foam inserts are permitted.

 Entry fee: $15 (all money collected in entry fee will go to positions 2nd through 10 in final Summer Slam Points.  You can track the entry money to be paid out simply by multiplying by the car count at each race!)

-       Tonarlo’s Restaurant (Conklin, NY) and CG Racing will match the $15 entry fee for each race and add it to positions 2nd through 10 in the final Summer Slam Points.

 A Free American Racer Tire will be given away to a randomly drawn driver at each Sunday Summer Slam event for Modifieds in 2017.

SHAKELTON NAPA AUTO & TRUCK PARTS MODIFIED LOYALTY BONUS PROGRAM:  The winning driver of each of the 4 events will receive a $500 bonus at the fourth and final race of the Summer Slam program courtesy of Shakelton NAPA Auto & Truck Parts IF they compete in all four races! 

TONARLO’S RESTAURANT AND CG RACING – will pay $250 to each Modified Summer Slam winning driver that attends all four races.  This could make the win for 30 laps $2,750 at each race!


Modified Season Championship 30 lap title race will be held first then Summer Slam heat races and feature.

GRIT Crate Sportsman - 25 laps - $1,000 to win.

$1,000 to the winner $100 to take the green

Draw for heat-race starting spots - Redraw of top heat finishers for the feature.

Heats & consolations - 8 laps

Any 13- by 92-inch American Racer MODIFIED Tire - NO LATE MODEL OR SPECIALTY TIRES! Tire) must be run on a weekly basis at a Sportsman or Modified track in the Northeast – no 49 compounds.

Crate 602 Sportsman (aluminum wheels): 2,400 lbs. Crate 602 Sportsman (steel wheels): 2,300 lbs.

Rev chip NOT required for 602 Sportsman – Maximum gear rule of 628.

Lightning Cats/Fantastic Five FWD Four Cylinders - 20 laps

Standard Penn-Can & Five Mile Point Four Cylinder rules apply for FWD - no racing tires on FWD

 Drivers must be 14 years of age - proof of age may be required

 Heats - 6 laps - draw/redraw format.

Lightning Cat Season Championship 15 lap event line up is set and will be held prior to new race program.

Excel 600 Modified North Region Tour  – 20 Laps

Rules will be based on weekly Xcel 600 Modified rules.
