Saturday, April 2nd - Race Program - Order of Events & Pricing.

Here is our updated schedule entering this upcoming weekend at Five Mile Point Speedway. We will host a paid practice on Saturday prior to the racing program. It's available if teams want extra track time. The full schedule is posted below.

We spent the last two days getting all of our access roads and the track surface ready to go for this Saturday. We are ready to go, now we have to just wait and see what the weather does. What the weather does or doesn't do on Thursday will have a big impact on our weekend schedule. The forecast currently is for the possibility of heavy thunderstorms. We will update everyone on Friday as to where things stand.

We have worked hard to have things ready to go so now lets hope for good weather at the end of the week. Below is the order of events for Saturday. We will host a separate paid practice on Saturday prior to the racing program. We have had a big response from teams that want the extra track time so we are trying to accommodate everyone.

Sat., April 2nd Order of Events and Pricing… Spring Series Race 1.

12 noon Pit gates open for Paid Practice only!

1 p.m. Paid Practice (1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) $25 for paid practice

3:45 p.m. Pit gates open for evening racing program.

4:15 p.m. Grandstand gates open.

5:15 p.m. Practice in the following order: Futures Sportsman, Street Stocks, 600 Modifieds, FWD Four Cylinders, Factory Stocks, Crate Sportsman.

6:05 p.m. Futures Sportsman Heats – (8 laps)

Factory Stock Heats – (6 laps)

GRIT 600 Modified Heats – (8 laps)

Street Stock Heats – (8 laps)

FWD Four Cylinder Novice then Expert Heats – (4/6 laps) all cars report to infield.

GRIT Crate Sportsman Heats – (8 laps)

Pit Admission For Racing Program: Pit Participant: $40

Paid Practice Pit Admission: Pit Participant: $25

Event Notes – Open Practice: Race Teams NOT staying for the racing program will pit in the upper homestretch parking lot. Spectators will not be able to attend the paid practice and the upper lot spectator parking will not open until 4 p.m. for the racing program. This will allow teams attending the paid practice and the racing program to park on the backstretch and not have to be cleared out after the paid practice.

Racing program: The racing program will operate like any other typical Saturday night. All pitting will be on the backstretch pit area. The pit gates for the racing program ONLY open at 3:45 p.m. The spectator grandstand parking lot will open at 4 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 4:15 p.m. Teams attending the racing program ONLY will get the usual hot laps prior to heat racing like normal. Paid Practice is an OPTION.

Please note – if you are coming ONLY for paid practice do not go to the backstretch pit area. That area will be reserved for teams participating in BOTH the paid practice and the racing program. The paid practice is open to Modified, Slingshots and other divisions as well. Rain date Sunday, April 3rd – Schedule Subject to change.
